Challenge
"Make it beautiful, make it say what we want to say, and keep it inside the budget." That is how Luísa summed up the set, in her dressing room, before going on. Add to that the festival clock, which hands the stage from one act to the next, and the rain in Cidade do Rock.
Idea
Take the show off the ground. The set becomes furniture: a table that becomes a stage, a chair that marks the scene, a round riser in the middle and a staircase that becomes a runway. From the back of the field you read the drawing; on camera the artist is always somewhere new. Concept by Johnny Destro, with artistic direction and choreography by Flávio Verne.
Execution
Set design and build by Magic at Cidade do Rock, in the rain. During the show the guests climb the tables, the dancers take the risers and Luísa works the staircase end to end. Production direction by Nat Fungaro, technical direction by Mirtto and stage direction by Bill Saramiolo.
